Commander
Colonel Kenneth O. McCreedy is a 1980 Distinguished Military Graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. Commissioned as a military intelligence officer, he first served at Fort Riley, Kan., as the S2 and Scout Platoon Leader of 3-37 Armor and Assistant S-2 of the 2d Brigade, 1st Infantry Division. After completing the Post-Graduate Intelligence Program at the Defense Intelligence College and Spanish instruction at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, Calif., Col.
McCreedy was assigned to the U.S. Southern Command in Panama as a country analyst in the J2. Following Operation JUST CAUSE, he was assigned to Fort Hood, Texas, where he was a G2 Operations Officer in Third Corps, commanded a CI/IPW Company in the 163d Military Intelligence Battalion, and served as the S3 Plans Officer for the 504th Military Intelligence Brigade.
After schooling at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., McCreedy served in Germany as the V Corps G2 Plans Officer, S3 of the 302d Military Intelligence Battalion, and S3 of the 205th Military Intelligence Brigade. He then served as a member of the Commander's Initiatives Group for CGUSAREUR/ COMSFOR with duty in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Returning from Europe in 1999, he served as a Director, National Security Agency Fellow at Fort Meade, Md., prior to his assignment to Fort Gordon, Ga., as commander of the 201st Military Intelligence Battalion (Signals Intelligence). He next was appointed Professor of Military Science at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. After attending the Army War College, Col. McCreedy worked for the past year in the Force Transformation Office in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Among his awards and decorations, Col. McCreedy has earned the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the NATO Medal.
Col. McCreedy holds a bachelor's degree in history from Washington and Lee University, a master's and doctorate in history from the University of California, Berkeley, a MMAS from the U.S. Army Command and Staff College, and a MSS from the Army War College. He is a graduate of both the Army's School of Advanced Military Studies and the Advanced Strategic Art Program

Bruce
L. Hopkins was born in Nuremberg, Germany in 1948, the son of an
Army soldier. Graduating from high school in Laurel, Md., he attended
Prince Georges Community College, and joined the Army in 1968. He
attended Infantry Officer Candidate School in 1969. On Active duty
he was a platoon leader, executive officer, assistant operations
officer and company commander in the 24th, 4th and 25th Infantry
Divisions.
He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1977 and attended
John Hopkins University.
He worked as a U.S. Army Reserve recruiting technician and training
technician in Baltimore, Md., a training specialist, individual
and unit training, First U.S. Army.
In 1980, he was selected as the executive officer/deputy to the
commander, Fort A.P. Hill.
From 1972-1997, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve and the Virginia
National Guard (29th Infantry Division). He served as a company
commander, operations officer, battalion/brigade executive officer
and infantry battalion and brigade commander. He retired as a colonel
in 1997.
His additional education includes Infantry and Ordnance Advanced
Courses, Command & General Staff College, and numerous management,
leadership and education courses.
He has received a variety of civilian performance awards, and the
Meritorious Civilian Service Medal. Military awards include Combat
Infantryman's Badge, Bronze Star with three oak leaf clusters (OLC)
and "V" device, Air Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with
two OLC, Army Commendation Medal with three OLC, Army Achievement
Medal, and Virginia Legion of Merit.
In 1996, he was inducted into the OCS Hall of Fame, Fort Benning,
GA.
Mr. Hopkins was selected as Deputy Installation Commander, Fort
Meade, Maryland in January 2002.

Meade Garrison Command Sergeant Major
Command Sergeant Major Esmond Bakker was born in Guyana, South America. He enlisted in the Army on October 30, 1979, and completed Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, S.C. He also attended Advanced Individual Training and Basic Airborne Training at Fort Benning, Ga.
CSM Bakker has demonstrated his commitment to the Army as he advanced to positions of greater responsibility. His assignments have taken him to Co. C, 1/325 Infantry, 2nd Brigade, Fort Bragg, N.C. as an Infantryman; 82nd AG Co, Fort Bragg, N.C. as a Records Specialist, and Ops NCO; INSCOM as the RSTF NCO; 809th Engineer Battalion and 610th Ordnance Battalion, Fort Belvoir, Va. as the PAC Supervisor; SHAPE and NATO, Belgium as NCOIC, Military Personnel Division; 187th PSC, Mannheim, Germany as NCOIC SIDPERS and First Sergeant; 510th PSB, Germany as Operations NCO and First Sergeant; 1st COSCOM, Fort Bragg, N.C. as the G1 Sergeant Major; Faculty Advisor/Instructor at the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, Texas. He also served as the Command Sergeant Major of the United States Army Garrison, Fort Hamilton, N.Y.
CSM Bakker's military and civilian education includes Pre-Commissioned Officer Course; Battle Staff NCO; Battalion Training Management System; Equal Opportunity NCO; Basic and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course; Master Fitness Trainer Course; Operating Room Specialist; Medical Aidman; Personnel Records Specialist; Personnel Actions Specialist; Personnel Management Specialist; First Sergeant Course at USAREUR and USASMA; Instructor Training Course and Small Group Instructor Course, and he is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy Class 49. He is a graduate of the SBLMP from the Army Management Staff College. He has an Associate Degree in Management from Regents University, and an Associate in Information Management from Campbell University and is three classes from completing his Bachelor in Information Management from Liberty Uinversity.
CSM Bakker's awards and decorations includes the Meritorious Service Medal (4 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (8 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (10 OLC), Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Noncommisioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (4), and the Overseas Service Ribbon (2).
