Army Career and Alumni Program
Fort Meade's Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP) is located at 4217 Roberts Avenue, room 204. ACAP assists in the transition from military to civilian life. ACAP provides pre-separation counseling, transition and employment assistance to separating military personnel, Department of Army civilian employees, and family members to ensure they are separated in a caring, dignified, and organized manner.

ACAP services include resume writing, interview techniques, job search skills, and listing of job opportunities with federal, state, local governments and civilian agencies. For more information or an appointment, call (301) 677-2227/6802.

Hours of operation are: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., except Wednesday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Employment Assistance Program (EAP)
Assists family members through employment search by maintaining a job bank while offering a computer lab as well as instruction on resume writing and preparing for job interviews.

Civilian Personnel Office
The Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC), located in Building 4432 on Llewellyn Avenue, services more than 2,500 Department of Army civilian appropriated and non-appropriated fund positions in 12 unique commands. The employees are located at Fort Meade.

The CPAC operates a self-service One Stop Employment Information Center in Building 4432. Applicants and employees are encouraged to review employment opportunities through the Touch Screen and available vacancy announcements for Federal Government jobs. Through a cooperative service with the State of Maryland, Department of Labor and Maryland’s Employment Center, employment opportunities for State and local organizations are offered. Retention Office
The Fort Meade Retention Office, located on the second floor of Building 4215A, is the center of all retention activities. The office is staffed with professional noncommissioned officer career counselors who will assist those interested in an Army career. The retention office disseminates the latest information on options and career opportunities to all units. For more information, call 677-REUP (7387).

For many men and women leaving government service, finding a new job is the first priority.
